You Want To Push Yourself Hard Enough To Raise

Cardio: Get Your Heart Pumping!

If you’re looking to get into shape, then you’ve probably heard of the importance of cardio. Cardio exercises are great for improving your heart health, increasing your energy and endurance, and burning calories.

But what exactly is cardio, and how can you get the most out of it?

Let’s start with the basics. Cardio, or cardiovascular exercise, is any kind of physical activity that increases your heart rate and breathing rate.

This could include running, cycling, swimming, rowing, or any other aerobic activity.

The idea is to work your body hard enough that it needs to burn energy to keep going. When it comes to cardio, intensity is key. You want to push yourself hard enough to raise your heart rate and breathing to a level that is uncomfortable but not too intense. This is known as the “target heart rate zone”, and it’s the range in which you should stay when doing cardio.

The amount of time you spend in the target heart rate zone depends on your fitness level and goals.

Generally, you should be aiming for at least twenty minutes of continuous cardio three to five times a week. To make sure you’re getting the most out of your cardio, mix things up.

Try different exercises and switch up the intensity to keep your body guessing.

You could also try interval training, where you alternate between intense bursts of exercise and lower intensity periods. So, if you’re looking to get in shape and improve your heart health, then cardio exercises should definitely be part of your routine.

Make sure to push yourself to the target heart rate zone and mix things up for the best results.

Good luck!
